Schedule Overview
What the GSA Schedule is, in operator language
The GSA Multiple Award Schedule (commonly called the GSA Schedule, or MAS) is a long-term, government-wide contract administered by the U.S. General Services Administration. It pre-negotiates fair-and-reasonable pricing, terms and conditions on behalf of every federal buyer, and increasingly state, local and tribal buyers under cooperative purchasing.[1]
For DayDefense, the Schedule converts a fragmented procurement landscape — translation, interpretation, transcription, localization, and language analysis — into a single ordering channel. A contracting officer can place a delivery order, blanket purchase agreement, or task order under our award without conducting a full open-market competition, in line with FAR Subpart 8.4.[2]
"The Schedule is not a list. It is a pre-negotiated, audited, lawfully-bounded ordering channel — a Constitutional shortcut for contracting officers under time pressure."

Scope of Services
Awarded labor categories and operational capabilities
SIN 541930 covers translation of written, electronic and multimedia materials, on-site and remote interpretation, sign-language services, transcription, and ancillary linguist support such as cultural advisory and language analysis.[4] Within that scope, DayDefense fields four operational lines:
Classified Translation
Document translation under chain-of-custody, executed by TS/SCI-cleared linguists on FISMA-aligned systems. Suitable for intelligence products, force-protection materials, and multilateral treaty exhibits.
Tactical Interpretation
Consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in negotiation rooms, OCONUS theaters, and humanitarian operations. 24-hour deployment posture, escort capability where required.
Language Intelligence
Open-source language analysis, transliteration, gisting, and summarization for intelligence-community customers — supporting threat assessment and strategic planning.
Localization & Public Affairs
Multilingual localization for force-protection campaigns, civil affairs, public diplomacy, and federal benefits communication. Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA aware.
Coverage spans 200+ languages and dialects, including all Department of Defense Strategic Language List entries. Linguists are credentialed to ATA, ASTM F2089, and DOD-aligned standards as applicable.
How Federal Buyers Order
FAR 8.4 procedures, eBuy RFQs, and direct task orders
Under FAR 8.405-1 and 8.405-2, contracting officers may issue orders against DayDefense's Schedule directly, with limited or no further competition depending on dollar threshold and complexity. Three ordering paths are available:
- 01GSA Advantage!
For commodity-style document translation orders within published catalog rates, COs may issue an order on GSA Advantage! against contract 47QRAA24D001H.
- 02GSA eBuy RFQ
For complex requirements (e.g., multi-language interpretation across multiple sites, classified deliverables, or BPAs), publish an RFQ on eBuy under SIN 541930. DayDefense responds with technical and price proposal within 5 business days, standard.
- 03Direct Task Order
Federal buyers with an existing customer relationship may issue a task order or BPA call directly to DayDefense. We provide draft SOW templates, NTE pricing tables, and CDRL frameworks on request.
Cooperative purchasing is open under the Disaster Recovery Purchasing program and the Cooperative Purchasing program for state, local and tribal entities, where eligible.[5]
Compliance Posture
The frameworks DayDefense observes — by name, not by slogan
Trust in federal language services is regulated, audited and continuous. DayDefense maintains the following posture across our contracts:
ISO 9001:2015
A certified Quality Management System governs translation workflow: linguist selection, multi-pass review, terminology control, and corrective-action loops. ISO 9001 is the international benchmark for repeatable quality and is referenced in numerous federal language acquisitions.
ISO 9001 standardHIPAA — Privacy & Security Rules
For protected health information (PHI) — common in VA, IHS, CMS, and Department of Defense health-affairs translations — DayDefense applies HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule controls: access management, audit logs, transmission security, BAAs where required.
HHS HIPAA portalFISMA-Aligned Systems
Our delivery infrastructure aligns to NIST SP 800-53 controls under the Federal Information Security Modernization Act, with documented system security plans and continuous monitoring practices appropriate for the data categories we handle.
NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5SOC 2 Posture
Vendor and platform partners undergo SOC 2 Type II review for the trust principles relevant to language-data handling: security, availability, and confidentiality.
AICPA SOC 2TS/SCI Personnel
DayDefense fields linguists holding active U.S. government security clearances up to Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information, in accordance with ICD 704 adjudication standards. Clearance verification is provided to authorized requesters.
ICD 704Section 508 / WCAG 2.1
Multilingual public-facing communications follow Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA where the deliverable is a digital artifact, with conformance language available for inclusion in CDRLs.
